Cyberpunk 2077 adds dual wielding, and our player count nearly doubles

Cyberpunk 2077's Edgerunners 2.5 patch lets V dual wield power pistols and revolvers, unlocked through a new Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree. Night City got busier on steamplayti.me too. Our player count for the game nearly doubled this week, and 26 of those players logged their first Cyberpunk time with us.
- 46 steamplayti.me players ran Cyberpunk 2077 this week, up from 24 the week before.
- 26 of them had never logged any Cyberpunk time on steamplayti.me before.
- 30 of our players were in Night City on October 22, up from 11 two days earlier.
Two guns, one big jump
In the days before, Cyberpunk was a steady, quiet presence for our players, with somewhere around 7 to 13 of them dropping in on a given day from October 9 to October 20. Then the last two days of our data broke the pattern: 14 players on October 21, and 30 on October 22.
Over the full week that adds up to 46 players, nearly twice the 24 from the week before. Total play time rose from 184 hours to 264, up by more than 40%. And 26 of this week's players are new to the game on steamplayti.me. Some may be veterans returning to old saves, some may be first-timers, but either way they hadn't played it with us until now.
How our players spend their time in Night City
Cyberpunk isn't a quick-session game for our crowd. A typical day of play runs a bit over 2 hours, and at least a quarter of play days go past 4 hours. Across the last 30 days, 69 of our players put in about 834 hours, around 12 hours each, which makes it our 12th most-played game by players.
As for what else they play, Counter-Strike 2 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt tie for the top spot, each played by 15 of those 69 players in the last month. That's more than 1 in 5. Deadlock follows with 13.
